[About]

He designed the interiors of the Élysée Palace and the Louvre, invented the plastic chair – and then Pierre Paulin was forgotten. Now, his visions of a better tomorrow are experiencing a comeback – thanks in part to his son. Pierre Paulin (1927–2009) remains a cornerstone of modern design, celebrated for his forward-thinking creations that seamlessly combined comfort and artistry. Known for reimagining traditional forms, Paulin’s work has shaped contemporary interiors for decades, with pieces like the Dune Ensemble, Alpha Sofa, and Alpha Club Chair embodying his innovative spirit.

Paulin’s influence wasn’t limited to furniture. His work for the Élysée Palace and collaborations with Artifort showcased his ability to merge innovation with elegance. Today, thanks to efforts by his son, Benjamin Paulin, his designs are experiencing a well-deserved resurgence, reminding us that great design transcends time.

Incorporating Pierre Paulin’s pieces into interiors is more than a stylistic choice—it’s an homage to a visionary who was always ahead of his time.
